Associate Professor, Master student supervisor. Prof. Zhu received his Bachelor and Master degree in Zhejiang University in 2001 and 2006, respectively, majored in Optical Engineering, and then received his PhD degree in Royal Institute of Technology (KTH) in Sweden, majored in the photonics and microwave engineering.
The main research areas include: Surface Plasmon structures or devices applied in optical communications and sensing, imaging, etc. Nonlinear effects enhanced by plasmonic structures, such as the non-local effect in the SHG by extremely small plasmonic structures, metal tip enhanced THG for high resolution lithography. Integrated silicon photonics devices for optical interconnect, such as waveguide components, demultiplexers, etc . Email: zhuning@scnu.edu.cn
